The WKU biological sciences program will prepare students to become scientists with a global perspective, and international quality research capabilities. The biology program is committed to developing students with a solid theoretical knowledge of biological sciences; cultivating students’ biological research and analytical thinking abilities; providing advanced scientific instrument skills; and experimental design and implementation abilities.
The biology program is designed to develop a deep understanding of how the application of biological sciences is critical to the long-term economic, cultural and social development of global communities through advanced research and management experience. This program will use cutting edge educational techniques to develop future leaders of global science and technology programs who have a unique understanding of biological sciences coupled with the ability to develop innovative solutions in biology, medicine, pharmacology and technology.
Graduates of this program will be well prepared to pursue advanced degrees at top universities around the world, join research and technology firms that are developing state of the art technologies and products or to enter governmental agencies to develop technical solutions to our most challenging problems.
Qualified students who successfully complete the program requirements will be awarded degrees from both Wenzhou-Kean University (China) and Kean University (USA).
Eligible students may elect to study at Kean University in New Jersey starting from their second semester or any subsequent semester, during which they will be eligible for in-state tuition rates at Kean University.

Freshmen Scholarship
1. First-Class Scholarship: 60% reduction of the academic year's tuition fees.
2. Second-Class Scholarship: 30% reduction of the academic year's tuition fees.
The freshman scholarship is renewed annually for the duration of the four-year program, subject to an annual review. The renewal policy and relevant notifications will be communicated to applicants via email.

1. Passport Identification Page: A clear copy of the photo page of your valid passport.
2. Color ID Photo: Format: JPG, JPEG, or PNG, File size: Less than 200KB, Resolution: Minimum 296 × 414 pixels
3. Academic Transcripts: Copies of all relevant academic records (e.g. high school transcript or GPA report).
4. Proof of Graduation: A copy of your high school diploma or a pre-graduation certificate.
5. Personal Essay: A 1–2 page essay outlining your educational and professional goals.
6. Standardized Test Scores (Optional): Such as SAT, ACT, A-Level, AP, IB, or UEC scores, if you wish to submit them.
7. English Proficiency Proof: Required for non-native English applicants.
8. For Transfer Students Only: An official transcript evaluation from a NACES-approved service (e.g. WES).
9. For Design Program Applicants Only: A portfolio (10–12 pieces of work)
