Computer Science spans diverse fields like virtual reality, AI, robotics, network databases, and vision systems, playing a crucial role in addressing global challenges. This program combines core principles with hands-on skills to investigate fascinating subjects such as computer vision systems and data mining techniques. You'll master methodologies for achieving precise, efficient computations. The BA option integrates liberal arts with computer science studies, while the BSc incorporates science courses including physics, chemistry, and biology. International-focused iBA, iBSc, or dual-degree options expand your global perspective, with opportunities to further enrich your experience through co-op placements or industry internships.
An optional co-application is available for this program and is highly encouraged. All Computer Science students can participate in co-op starting their third year without needing a separate application.
Both BA and BSc degrees deliver identical computer science and mathematics training. BA students supplement their studies with liberal arts (humanities and social sciences), while BSc students focus on scientific disciplines (biology, chemistry, physics). You can broaden your academic horizons through degree minors or double majors to either sample or specialize in another field.
