This program employs an "apprenticeship approach," allowing you to collaborate directly with faculty on developmental psychology research projects starting from your first day as a graduate student. The Developmental Psychology curriculum exposes students to diverse empirical techniques, spanning conventional approaches (such as questionnaires, interviews, and behavioral evaluations) to cutting-edge methodologies (including eye-tracking, narrative analysis, and hierarchical linear modeling). The program fosters collaboration with multiple professors to leverage their specialized knowledge.
Upon earning your Master of Arts in Psychology with a Developmental Psychology focus (usually within one to two years), you'll possess comprehensive training in developmental psychology theories and investigative techniques. You'll typically have at least one journal article in progress and will have presented multiple posters or papers at domestic and global academic conferences.
