As technology grows increasingly advanced, the expertise needed in computing careers evolves as well. Laurier's Master of Applied Computing (MAC) provides an advanced computing education that combines theoretical understanding with hands-on experience in mobile computing, enterprise systems, data mining, and machine learning.
This MAC program distinguishes graduates in the employment landscape, demonstrating to potential employers your mastery of cutting-edge technical concepts and ability to develop technological innovations.
We foster a "conceive it, implement it" approach where classroom theories translate directly into real-world applications through projects or co-op experiences. Industry leaders often observe that while traditional computing master's graduates possess deep technical understanding, they frequently lack practical implementation skills. Our program bridges this gap. By incorporating case analyses, project-driven coursework, and cooperative education, the MAC curriculum delivers practical competencies that theory-centric programs simply cannot match.
