The project-focused MSc curriculum addresses industry's increasing need for skilled applied geologists. Students in this program play a vital role in Resource Geoscience Western, a collaborative initiative with industry partners that positions us as leaders in Canadian Earth Sciences across multiple applied disciplines.
The thesis-oriented MSc program develops emerging scientists' research capabilities, guiding them through problem identification, data gathering, method development, literature review, and thesis composition. This comprehensive approach forms the core of our students' research training, enhanced by graduate coursework featuring lectures, labs, projects, papers, and seminars.
