The project-focused MSc curriculum addresses the increasing industry need for skilled applied geologists. Students in this program play a vital role in Resource Geoscience Western, a collaborative initiative with industry partners that positions us as leaders in Canadian Earth Sciences across multiple applied disciplines.
Our thesis-oriented MSc program develops emerging researchers by guiding them through problem identification, data gathering, method development, literature review, and thesis composition. This comprehensive approach serves as the foundation for mastering research methodologies. Independent study is complemented by graduate coursework featuring lectures, lab work, and various academic projects including papers and seminars.
