Western provides multiple undergraduate psychology programs tailored to diverse student interests. Those considering careers in psychology or related fields may explore our Honours Specialization options. For students seeking comprehensive knowledge of psychological science, our Major program serves as an ideal foundation. A Psychology Major can be paired with another discipline to form an Honours Double Major degree, which serves as excellent preparation for professional programs including Business, Education, Medicine, and Law. Students looking to incorporate psychological studies into their broader education or to supplement another field of study may find our Psychology Minor particularly suitable.
Admission to the Honours Specialization in Developmental Cognitive Neuroscience BSc program requires completion of 5.0 first-year courses by May 1 without any failures, maintaining a minimum 75% average across 3.0 principal courses (with no grade below 60% in these courses). Please note that as this is a competitive program, the actual admission average typically exceeds the 75% minimum, currently standing in the lower 80s (approximately 83%).
