Western's undergraduate programs follow a modular structure, offering diverse mathematics courses tailored to different academic and professional goals. Prospective students should reach out to us or attend math department information sessions during the February-March registration period each year.
We strongly support undergraduate collaboration with professors via research initiatives, the Mathematics Scholars Group, and our pizza seminar series. Our faculty has a proven track record of guiding honors students and welcomes new mentees. All undergraduates are invited to participate in MaCAW (the mathematics student association).
Since 2022, the School of Mathematical and Statistical Sciences has consistently supplied the Faculty of Education with program graduates. Candidates must finish their studies by August 31 of their intended B.Ed. start year and have completed 10 full university course equivalents when applying. Priority goes to those with four-year degrees or 20 course equivalents, maintaining at least a 70% average in their top 10 undergraduate courses and a 70% average in their best 5 math/statistics courses.
