For those seeking a program combining studio instruction and ensemble performance, consider applying to the Bachelor of Music degree.
All first-year Bachelor of Music students take foundational courses covering Music Theory, Music History, and Music Skills (including Sight-singing, Ear-training, and Keyboard Harmony). The curriculum also includes a half-course in either music composition, music education, or popular music studies, along with elective options both within and outside the Don Wright Faculty of Music. Students benefit from weekly one-on-one lessons, masterclasses, and ensemble participation.
Bachelor of Music (Honours) students typically choose their specialization near the end of the first year after evaluating their skills and interests. Alternatively, students may opt to continue in the general Bachelor of Music program without declaring a specific focus area.
