The foundational medical sciences examine human biology at molecular, cellular, and systemic levels, exploring how our bodies adapt to environmental shifts and illnesses. The Medical Sciences Program awards a four-year BMSc degree through a collaboration between the Faculty of Science and Schulich School of Medicine & Dentistry, catering to students (testimonial) pursuing in-depth knowledge of core medical science disciplines. This interdisciplinary program emphasizes applying scientific principles to diagnosing, preventing, and treating human diseases.
Microbiology & Immunology explores immune responses to pathogens and cancer cells; examines disease-causing microbes versus beneficial microorganisms impacting health, industry, and ecosystems; and investigates vaccine mechanisms, autoimmune disorders, allergic reactions, and related phenomena.
