The Smart Cities initiative merges civil infrastructure with advanced sensing, networking, and control systems to develop interconnected urban spaces that are durable, flexible, and focused on sustainability and resident welfare. Western's Artificial Intelligence Systems Engineering (AISE) curriculum is a five-year combined degree program designed to equip future engineers with contemporary skills that address growing industry needs and enhance graduate career prospects.
Participants will gain foundational knowledge in AI principles, neural networks, real-time learning, computational methods, and information architecture to address engineering challenges. Utilizing hands-on projects and real-world scenarios, students will master applying artificial intelligence to sector-specific issues and obstacles.
