Our program spans from the Italian mainland to global Italian diaspora communities, equipping you for professional paths in public service, hospitality, or education.
Beyond comprehensive language courses at every proficiency level, our Italian studies initiative immerses students in Italy's vibrant cultural heritage and modern societal complexities. Examine Italian traditions alongside other cultures, investigate Italy's global impact, and analyze Italian society through diverse lenses including musical, artistic, literary, gender, and media studies via Major, Minor, or Certificate program choices.
First-year prerequisites include completing 1.0 course from Italian 1030, Italian 1030WX, Italian 1033, or both Italian 1045AB and Italian 1046AB, with a minimum 60% grade. Students with Grade 12U Italian qualifications will start with Italian 2200 or Italian 2202X.
