This module focuses on the computational elements of bioinformatics, while also equipping students with sufficient bioscience knowledge to understand the applications of computing in this field. The Bioinformatics Honours Specialization results in a degree certified by the Computer Science Accreditation Council, the educational division of the Canadian Information Processing Society, meeting its interdisciplinary program standards. The Bioinformatics Honours Specialization is exclusively available within Bachelor of Science (Honours) degree programs.
