This specialized program focuses on developing instrumentalists and vocalists in popular music. Performers may pursue careers as solo artists, ensemble members, or accompanists, requiring advanced technical abilities and sometimes skills in improvisation and stage presence. Musicians typically perform live or record in studios, while sometimes creating music for specific events or television appearances, whether with prepared material or improvised pieces. Applicants with post-secondary education will be evaluated on their overall academic performance and prerequisite standing.
