The BBA program delivers comprehensive business training emphasizing international commerce, developing markets, and tech-driven enterprises. Participants gain specialized knowledge in their chosen field while acquiring essential management competencies, analytical abilities, and communication techniques. VIU's Bachelor of Business Administration incorporates interdisciplinary electives that bridge Business with Social Sciences and Humanities. Learners cultivate skills to navigate organizational goals within complex, ever-changing external contexts. The curriculum combines traditional lectures with interactive seminars, investigative assignments, and digital simulations, with encouragement to explore complementary disciplines.

Those holding the previous two-year Business Management diploma qualify for direct entry into the BBA's third year, receiving credit for completed coursework.

After finishing the BBA's initial two years, eligible students may obtain a Business Administration Diploma upon application.

Qualification Requirements

Graduation from high school or equivalent.

English 12 with a minimum “C” grade, or equivalent.

One of Principles of Mathematics 12, Applications of Mathematics 12, or Foundations of Mathematics 12 with a minimum “C” grade.

Proof of English Language proficiency is required from any country or citizen where English is not the official or first language.

For students who meet the academic requirements but not the English language requirement, conditional acceptance to VIU may be granted. In this case, admission is granted pending completion of VIU’s English Language Centre program (level AP5 for undergrad and Grad Prep for Graduate programs). Exceptions may apply.

International students who are BC high school graduates must have a minimum grade of “C” in English 12 for direct entry into an academic program.

To meet the English language requirements for academic program, students must have completed:
