Economics influences all facets of modern life – guiding personal and family decisions as well as shaping policies in business and government. Economists analyze how choices create ripple effects and help develop more informed decision-making.

Do you want to explore the intricate workings of commerce and economics' role in shaping society? VIU's Bachelor of Arts in Economics begins with foundational theory before applying economic principles to contemporary policy challenges and real-world scenarios.

Economics graduates embark on successful careers as economic analysts, financial advisors, data specialists, certified accountants, and other roles across both public institutions and corporate organizations.
