This program meets the increasing need for science graduates to acquire essential business skills for today's workplace. Across Canada, businesses are taking a more active part in scientific research and technological development, from foundational studies to bringing new concepts to market. As a result, collaborations among companies, universities, and government bodies are becoming more common. The life sciences sector, encompassing fields like pharmaceutical development and environmental consulting, is seeing particular growth. Additionally, pre-professional students (Medicine, Dentistry, etc.) will find value in this program as it prepares them for managing private practices later in their careers.
Undergraduates enrolled in 3-year, 4-year, or Honours BSc programs across all departments can enroll in the Business Stream – a specialized curriculum through the Faculty of Business and Economics designed to equip them with industry-relevant competencies. Upon fulfilling both their degree requirements and the specified business courses, students will receive official recognition on their academic transcripts for completing a BSc with Business Stream specialization.
