The University of Winnipeg offers Stage Management and Production as a distinct specialization within its Theatre and Film Department, available through both BA and BA (Honours) degree programs. This structure allows students to focus exclusively on production and stage management or combine these studies with other courses toward their degree. Importantly, no prior experience or technical background from high school is needed to enroll in these courses.
Our program stands alone in Manitoba by delivering comprehensive, practical technical training with direct, personalized instruction. Production students gain hands-on experience by working on crews for our public theater productions. Top-performing students can pursue customized courses in specialized areas and participate in cooperative placements that connect them with Winnipeg's theater and film industry while building real-world skills.
You are a current high school student studying at a school in another Canadian province, and expect to graduate from grade 12 (or equivalent).
