Those focusing on Playwriting benefit from intimate class sizes and personalized guidance across various disciplines such as one-act plays, full-length productions, and screenwriting. Our faculty consists of seasoned playwrights and screenwriters. Pupils master the art of crafting a play from conception to completion, while collaborating with peers to build compelling narratives with all essential components. Advanced students gain access to workshopping sessions. Thanks to our strong ties with the university's English Department, drama students can enrich their studies with creative writing classes led by distinguished English faculty.
Beyond Playwriting I, Playwriting II: General, and Playwriting II: Honours, we offer introductory and advanced Screenwriting courses, plus Script and Screen - a class analyzing successful and unsuccessful screenplay techniques. Senior students also get the chance to pursue specialized projects through one-on-one mentorship with an accomplished playwright professor.
