Psychology aims to scientifically explore a wide range of subjects including aggression, infant-caregiver bonding, literacy development, mental health conditions, romantic partnerships, and organizational behavior effectiveness. These topics are analyzed through various lenses such as biological mechanisms, childhood influences, socioeconomic pressures, social dynamics, and cultural factors.
The curriculum encourages students to choose classes across foundational domains: neuropsychology, sensory processing, behavioral conditioning, thought processes, lifespan development, individual differences, group behavior, and psychopathology. Additionally, students study research methodologies employed by psychologists to investigate human behavior and consciousness, ranging from observational studies to neurological approaches. Beyond coursework, students can engage in psychological studies, collaborate with professors on specialized research initiatives, and attend stimulating lectures.
