The Honours BA in Indigenous Studies is ideal for students passionate about in-depth exploration of the discipline and considering advanced studies in Indigenous Studies or related areas like Indigenous Governance, Law, Business, or Social Work. Honours programs emphasize active student engagement through intimate seminar-style classes, available to all eligible students seeking a more personalized learning experience. Participants will develop expertise in Indigenous cultures, with a focus on Canada, equipping them with valuable skills for careers in band, provincial, national, and international contexts, as well as with both non-profit and corporate entities. Department Chair approval is required for enrollment in the Honours BA. Given the program's flexible structure, students should thoughtfully consider their academic interests and career aspirations when selecting courses.
