The Information Systems (IS) specialization is designed for students who want to concentrate on the informational and commercial demands of the technology sector. This newly introduced track equips learners with knowledge in information-centric subjects as well as systems and web-based technologies. Example coursework covers: web development, database architecture and implementation, software specifications and modeling, network communications, enterprise application platforms, and digital commerce. A key benefit of this program is its flexibility, allowing students to readily pair it with another discipline for a dual major leading to either a Bachelor of Arts or Science degree.

Qualification Requirements

The language of instruction at The University of Winnipeg is English. Students must have a level of ability in English that allows them to participate in all aspects of university study, including lectures, reading, writing, and discussion. If English is not the student’s first/primary language and they are not from an English Exempt Country, they must provide supporting documentation to show they meet one of the conditions below. Students will not be admitted until this requirement has been met. English language measures older than two years will not be considered. TOEFL - Achieve a minimum score of 86 with no less than 20 in each component. IELTS - IELTS Academic, Online & UKVI: Minimum overall score of 6.5. Cambridge Assessment English: C1 Advanced & C2 Proficiency - Minimum score 180.
