The Master of Human Kinetics (MHK) program provides specialized study in Applied Human Performance, emphasizing movement science applications across sports, occupational settings, and everyday activities. Through coursework, thesis projects, and practical internships, students explore fundamental and practical aspects of human biomechanics, ergonomics, exercise physiology, developmental processes across the lifespan, motor skill acquisition, neuromuscular function, and psychological factors in sports and exercise.

Having served as faculty for many years, as a graduate of this program, and as a former Lancer athlete, I take great pride in welcoming you to what we fondly call the HK Family. Our Kinesiology Department is committed to progressing the interdisciplinary field of kinesiology by combining cutting-edge research, innovative educational approaches, and community collaborations to improve human performance and wellbeing.
