Our Plasma Surface Engineering and Tribology Laboratory focuses on developing multifunctional materials featuring self-adjusting surfaces. These innovations aim to reduce reliance on coolants, lubricants, and environmentally harmful coatings and processes. The facility houses an Eco-friendly Plasma Surface Engineering Research Lab, Nanomechanical Test System, and PVDCVD Laboratory. Our team of highly skilled researchers explores diverse areas including Plasma Surface Engineering, Thin Films and Coatings, Nanomaterials, Biomaterials, Smart Materials and Structures, Tribology, Wear, Corrosion, Erosion, and Nanomicro-mechanical Properties. Research initiatives receive support from NSERC, CFI, OIT, OCE, AutoSteel Partnership, USAMP, General Motors, Chrysler, Ford Motor, and various industrial partners.
