The Honours Political Science with French Specialization program provides an excellent opportunity for students pursuing a four-year Honours Political Science degree while developing expertise in French language and Francophone Canadian culture. This specialization is particularly valuable for careers in government, legal professions, NGOs, and business sectors requiring bilingual skills.
This interdisciplinary program is delivered in collaboration with Windsor's Department of Languages, Literatures and Cultures (LLC).
Distinct from the standard Honours Political Science program, this specialization requires completion of fourteen French-language courses. Students take nine courses at the University of Windsor and five during a study abroad semester at a Francophone institution, typically in their third year. Previous participants have studied at the University of Ottawa, Quebec universities, or institutions in France.
