The Drama and Communication, Media and Film program is an innovative joint offering between the School of Dramatic Art and the Department of Communication, Media and Film. This dual major provides comprehensive theoretical understanding and hands-on training across both fields.

Your Dramatic Art curriculum may encompass subjects like stage and costume design, filmmaking, theatrical production, performance studies, and theater history.

Core Communication, Media and Film classes will equip you with analytical frameworks for examining media institutions, content creation, and the social, cultural, and economic impacts of modern communication systems. With advisor approval, you can opt for digital media production courses.

After your first year, the program offers specialization tracks in theater production, performance, media analysis, and digital content creation. Upper-level students may qualify for internships and Work Study positions with University Players.
