Management sciences is an expansive, interdisciplinary field focused on solving problems and making decisions within organizations. It blends analytical modeling with behavioral science approaches to tackle society's most challenging issues. Students gain expertise in supply chain operations and optimization techniques while also exploring emerging areas like human-computer interaction, sustainable energy solutions, and entrepreneurial innovation. The program features three primary specialization tracks, allowing both students and faculty to concentrate on the knowledge areas that align with their aspirations. We provide a dedicated management engineering bachelor's degree, plus a management sciences option for students in other engineering disciplines. Following Waterloo's distinctive approach, all undergraduates participate in cooperative education, completing up to six 4-month work placements alternating with academic terms. This hands-on experience strengthens classroom learning, giving students a comprehensive, real-world education.
