Our doctoral program provides students with a robust grounding in economic principles and quantitative methods, along with diverse application areas. The curriculum covers specialized fields including policy analysis, employment economics, macroeconomic theory, financial systems, statistical modeling, resource economics, and ecological/health economics. We foster a collaborative environment designed to inspire and support graduate researchers in their academic pursuits. Doctoral candidates receive financial support for 12 academic terms, with opportunities for both research and teaching assistantships. A select number of instructor roles are available for those seeking to enhance their pedagogical abilities. The Economics Department prioritizes both scholarly inquiry and educational quality, with faculty publications appearing in top-tier economics journals. Our academic programs integrate cutting-edge real-world applications while developing modern analytical competencies. The integration of experiential learning through co-op placements with academic study contributes to our students' exceptional achievements.
