Often referred to as liberal arts degrees elsewhere, Liberal Studies enables you to investigate numerous disciplines across humanities, social sciences, languages and cultures, as well as fine and performing arts – along with elective courses from Waterloo's other faculties. You can specialize your degree with one or more minors, or maintain a broad, general approach. (If you develop a deep passion for a particular subject, you can always transition to a major later.)
