The Literature and Rhetoric program combines the complementary strengths of UWaterloo's English Department. This structured curriculum offers training in both fields while allowing flexibility to pursue individual interests. Through literature and literary theory courses, you'll gain a foundation in British, Canadian, American, and Postcolonial literary traditions. The rhetoric and professional writing component covers rhetorical history and theory, professional communication principles, information design, and digital media. The honors RMPC degree offers multiple pathways tailored to your aspirations: Choose between regular or co-op study formats. Opt for a standalone honors degree, joint honors, or combine it with an Honours Arts and Business degree. You can also enhance your honors degree with specializations in creative writing, digital media studies, global literatures, or technical writing.
