The Literature and Rhetoric program combines the complementary strengths of UWaterloo's English Department. This structured yet flexible curriculum immerses students in both fields while allowing personal exploration. Through literary studies, you'll build foundations in British, Canadian, American, and Postcolonial literary traditions and theories. The Rhetoric and Professional Writing component examines rhetorical history and theory, professional communication, information design, and digital media.
