Biological Anthropology serves as a key discipline for understanding humanity's early development. By examining both ancient evidence and contemporary genetic adaptations, this specialization reveals the biological foundations that shaped human intellectual and cultural progress.

This area encompasses primate evolution, hominid development, modern human adaptation, and elements of genetics and population research. Central to Biological Anthropology is studying how organisms adapt through evolutionary selection processes, with genetic and evolutionary theories forming its conceptual framework.

At the undergraduate level, Biological Anthropology emphasizes practical knowledge over theoretical concepts, ensuring students grasp fundamental anthropological principles and methodologies. Laboratory sessions and visual materials help students engage directly with research subjects: skeletal remains, fossil replicas, genetic analysis, and blood testing. Students also acquire practical skills in anthropometric measurement techniques during hands-on lab work.
