This interdisciplinary program examines religion's fundamental position within cultural and social frameworks throughout history and across local to international contexts.
Through examining religious expressions—how people experience, practice, and encounter faith in daily life—we study religion's crucial impact on social organization, political systems, creative arts, and intellectual development in human societies.
