The Institute of Health Policy, Management and Evaluation (IHPME) educates Canada's next generation of healthcare leaders and scholars through its exceptional academic programs.
IHPME provides cutting-edge research and professional training across diverse disciplines. It hosts Canada's most extensive graduate studies in health services research, clinical epidemiology, and healthcare investigation, with courses scheduled during conventional class times.
This program equips both practicing and aspiring clinical leaders with system leadership capabilities, teaching them to implement innovative concepts, drive organizational change, and assess how innovations affect overall system effectiveness. The HSLI curriculum blends health systems science, organizational dynamics, policy studies, innovation methodologies, and leadership principles, creating a unique interdisciplinary approach. Qualification Requirements

Applicants require an overall B+ average or higher in the last two years of an appropriate bachelor's degree from a recognized university.
Applicants must have healthcare experience and demonstrate an aptitude for innovation and health systems.
Preference will be given to early-career physicians, medical trainees in a Canadian Faculty of Medicine or licensed clinical professionals.
Curriculum Vitae (CV)
A two-page curriculum vitae (CV) that provides a summary of academic and leadership experience, including:
Undergraduate and graduate education (i.e. degree(s), scholarships or awards)
Paid employment history (role, organization and duration)
Volunteer service history (role, organization and duration)
Accomplishments in athletics, the arts or other domains that reflect leadership and teamwork
Statement of Intent
The statement of intent should outline your interest in health system leadership, leadership aspirations, career goals and learning goals, and experience relevant to health systems. The statement should be no more than 1.5 pages single-spaced.
Transcripts
Transcripts must be scanned and uploaded to the SGS application website from all post-secondary institutions. Official transcripts will be required if you are selected to move forward to the interview stage.
Grade legends and translations should accompany international transcripts.
For those in a residency or fellowship program please provide a letter from your residency or fellowship program outlining the details of your training (how long and where). We will use this letter as a transcript for your residency.
