The Master of Information (MI) program enables students to delve into the comprehensive field of information and knowledge management, offering diverse opportunities across five specializations: Library & Information Science, Archives & Records Management, Human Centred Data Science, User Experience Design, and Information Systems & Design. Additionally, the Faculty of Information offers a dual-degree pathway, allowing students to pursue both the Master of Information and Master of Museum Studies simultaneously. This forward-thinking, interdisciplinary curriculum examines information and knowledge management from multiple perspectives, equipping graduates to become sought-after professionals capable of advancing information design, organization, storage, access, retrieval, dissemination, preservation, and management. With a strong grasp of societal needs, MI graduates find career prospects in every industry and sector.
The User Experience Design (UXD) specialization equips students with essential expertise to thrive as competitive UX designers, addressing the growing need for professionals skilled in conceptualizing, creating, and assessing exceptional digital user experiences. Combining theory with practical application, students tackle diverse design challenges—from conventional digital platforms (e.g., desktop, web, mobile) to emerging HCI innovations (e.g., 3D interfaces, wearables, tangible interfaces, social platforms). Special attention is given to elements shaping user experience in digital interactions, with a focus on interdisciplinary design thinking and User-Centred Design (UCD) methodologies.
