The Master of Industrial Relations and Human Resources (MIRHR) and Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) programs prepare students for careers in human resources, labor relations, conflict resolution, organizational development, and social policy analysis. The MIRHR offers flexible full-time or part-time enrollment as a professional program focused on cutting-edge practices in workplace relations. This interdisciplinary degree delivers specialized knowledge about employment dynamics through multiple academic perspectives.
Qualified candidates can complete the MIRHR in just one year (12 months) of full-time study through the advanced standing pathway. This accelerated option is open to applicants holding a four-year undergraduate degree (or equivalent) in fields like labor relations, human resources, business, or psychology with an HR concentration.

Qualification Requirements

A 4-year University of Toronto Bachelor's Degree, or its equivalent, from a recognized university.
Completion of a CEGEP program prior to a Quebec Bachelor's (3-year) degree is equivalent to a 4-year program.
Minimum requirement is a B+ (77%) or 3.3 (4.0 grade scale) in each of the final two years of Bachelor's Degree.
Although these tests are not required and there is no minimum score requirement, this information is helpful to the admissions committee.
