Urban centers serve as the driving force behind global economies. As more than half of humanity now resides in cities, national prosperity is deeply tied to urban efficiency. Amidst ongoing urbanization, environmental shifts, resource constraints, and sustainability demands, metropolitan areas worldwide will face mounting difficulties in maintaining infrastructure and providing quality services for residents' welfare.
The current landscape requires specialists who combine technical skills with comprehensive knowledge of cities' multifaceted, interdisciplinary challenges. Addressing this critical demand, the Department of Civil and Mineral Engineering provides the Master of Engineering in Cities Engineering and Management (MEngCEM) program.
