This globally-oriented program equips you with both academic knowledge and supervised professional training to support mental health service development projects worldwide. Designed for international practitioners, the MEd in Counselling Psychology, Global Mental Health & Counselling Psychology (GMHCP) Field prepares graduates to apply contemporary psychological theories and practices in diverse cultural contexts. Please note: this program doesn't qualify graduates for certification as a Certified Canadian Counsellor (CCC) through the Canadian Counselling and Psychotherapy Association, nor does it lead to registration with Ontario's College of Registered Psychotherapists (CRPO). Students are primarily responsible for arranging their international practicum placements, as domestic alternatives cannot be provided if international arrangements fall through.
