Our Master of Education in Counselling Psychology, specializing in Counselling and Psychotherapy, is a course-focused program designed to equip students with both theoretical knowledge and practical skills needed for professional licensure as psychotherapists across diverse environments. Learners can tailor their academic journey by selecting courses and practicum opportunities aligned with their individual career aspirations. Potential focus areas include adult psychotherapy, student counseling in higher education, geriatric mental health, vocational guidance, multicultural counseling, and clinical practice in community health or family service organizations.
Combining academic instruction with optional hands-on training, this program lays the foundation for dual credentials: Certified Canadian Counsellor (CCC) through the Canadian Counselling and Psychotherapy Association (CCPA) and Registered Psychotherapist status with Ontario's College of Registered Psychotherapists (CRPO).
While primarily structured as a full-time program, a select number of part-time enrollment options exist for qualifying students.
