The MMus in Music Technology & Digital Media merges artistic practice with career-focused education in Composition, Performance, Production, and Digital Media Distribution. Learners engage with these interconnected disciplines to hone their personal abilities, eventually collaborating in cross-disciplinary teams to produce industry-standard projects that mirror professional creative workflows. While centered on musical foundations, the curriculum expands to embrace multiple media forms such as film/video, gaming, digital art, and cross-disciplinary artistic practices.
Participants with digital media passions and backgrounds join from diverse fields including musical composition, performance, audio engineering, and various academic domains. The student body represents a wide spectrum of musical traditions—from classical and jazz to contemporary popular styles. Instruction is provided by University of Toronto faculty (from Music and other departments) alongside industry-leading practitioners.
