Economics is a field of social science that examines diverse aspects of human behavior and significantly impacts a society's framework, prosperity, and growth.
A substantial portion of human endeavors focuses on fulfilling material needs. Across numerous regions globally, most human energy must be dedicated to securing fundamental necessities like nourishment, attire, and housing. Even in technologically developed nations where these essentials can be obtained relatively effortlessly, the craving for additional commodities and amenities seems insatiable. Consequently, every community - regardless of its political ideology - exhibits both competitive and collaborative traits. Competition emerges as individuals vie to fulfill personal desires from finite productive assets. Cooperation occurs because optimal resource allocation happens when production processes are systematically coordinated. Economics addresses challenges stemming from the tension between unlimited wants for products/services and constrained resources available to meet them. Undergraduate economics education aims to acquaint learners with economic reasoning methods, enhance their comprehension of human actions, and develop their capacity for insightful evaluation of current economic issues.
