University College provides diverse academic offerings beyond conventional departmental boundaries. These encompass UC One along with specialized programs in Asian Canadian Studies, Canadian Studies, Cognitive Science, Drama, Health Studies (featuring the new Public Health Major), and Sexual Diversity Studies, complemented by First-Year Foundation Seminars. The College's interdisciplinary programs promote comprehensive learning across important fields of study. Numerous courses welcome students outside the formal programs.
The Health Studies program combines a strong academic foundation with interdisciplinary flexibility to support diverse interests. Students can examine public health, health policy, healthcare practices, research methodologies, and socio-cultural health factors. The Public Health Major equips students with essential public health knowledge, while elective courses explore connections between health and factors like sexuality, ethics, and economic influences.
