Trinity College provides the Trinity One program for first-year students, featuring specialized courses, independent study options, and three interdisciplinary programs: Ethics, Society, and Law; Immunology; and International Relations. The Ethics, Society, and Law Major Program combines courses from multiple departments and colleges, such as History, Philosophy, Political Science, Religion, Sociology, Woodsworth College, and Trinity College. Immunology Specialist and Major Programs draw from Biochemistry, Immunology, and Molecular Genetics departments. The International Relations Program includes courses from History, Political Science, Economics, and Trinity College.
The Ethics, Society, and Law program enables students to examine pressing societal issues through an interdisciplinary framework. It integrates perspectives from the humanities, social sciences, and natural sciences, equipping students with diverse analytical tools. Core requirements span multiple disciplines, while electives allow specialization in areas like philosophy, religion, anthropology, gender studies, economics, geography, political science, sociology, and criminology. By bridging these fields, E, S, and L students develop critical thinking skills for informed analysis and meaningful engagement, preparing them for professional, local, and global citizenship.
