The Commerce curriculum integrates economic principles with diverse business and management specialties, equipping students with analytical capabilities and institutional knowledge. This foundation proves valuable for addressing challenges and formulating strategies in both corporate and public sector settings.
Graduates often pursue careers as certified accountants, economic advisors, insurance risk analysts, investment specialists, market researchers, corporate executives, or small business owners. Many commerce alumni opt for advanced education, with law degrees and MBA programs being particularly popular choices. The Accounting Specialist Program enables undergraduates to fulfill the educational requirements for professional accounting certifications during their Bachelor of Commerce studies. Additionally, the BCom program has earned recognition in the CFA Institute's University Affiliation initiative. Students may also select the Marketing and Commerce Specialist concentration.
