The Laboratory Medicine and Pathobiology graduate program offers a comprehensive curriculum with multidisciplinary research opportunities in human disease mechanisms, culminating in MSc and PhD degrees. Our department delivers outstanding research training focused on understanding disease processes at the molecular level. More than 130 faculty members across campus and affiliated teaching hospitals conduct pathobiology research, teach courses, and mentor graduate students. We foster a collaborative academic environment that bridges clinical practice, scientific inquiry, and student education, demonstrating how research breakthroughs translate into improved patient care.
Our neuroscience specialists explore diverse fields including neuropsychology, neuroimmunology, genetic neuroscience, protein studies, brain tumor research, and neurological disorder pathways.
Through examining these biological networks, our researchers work to develop better treatments for neurodegenerative conditions and nervous system disorders, including Alzheimer's disease and brain malignancies.
