The School of Public Health fosters a dynamic learning atmosphere that celebrates diversity. We welcome applications from all underrepresented communities and encourage self-identification. The University of Saskatchewan's MPH Program receives about 500 applications annually for roughly 40 available positions (30 on-campus and 10 online). Although the College of Graduate and Postdoctoral Studies sets a minimum 70% weighted average for the final two years of undergraduate study, admission to the competitive MPH program isn't guaranteed by meeting baseline requirements. Recent admissions data shows successful candidates typically maintained at least an 80% converted GPA during their last two academic years.
A four-year undergraduate degree, or equivalent, from a recognized college or university in an academic discipline relevant to the proposed field of study, or,
A three-year first cycle undergraduate degree, in an academic discipline relevant to the proposed field of study, from an institution that meets the criteria set forth in the Bologna Declaration, will be acceptable as the equivalent of an undergraduate honours degree.
A cumulative weighted average of at least 70% (USask grade system equivalent) in the last two years of full-time study (e.g. 60 credit units USask equivalent).
Demonstrated ability for independent thought, advanced study, and research.
