The program provides instruction in social psychology theories, research methodologies, statistical analysis, and program assessment, complemented by numerous chances for independent study. A distinctive feature is the focus on gaining hands-on research experience via practicum and internship positions. Faculty specialties include: immigration psychology and cultural adaptation, body perception, multicultural studies, LGBTQ+ topics, discrimination, reproductive and mental wellness, human sexuality, social stereotypes, cultural influences, linguistics, and personal identity.
