Engineering physics serves as a connection between theoretical science and practical applications, employing core principles in our fast-evolving, technology-driven engineering landscape. Engineering physicists are driven by harnessing scientific knowledge to push technological progress and promote sustainable solutions.
At USask, we've transformed first-year engineering to enhance student success and inject more enjoyment into the learning process. Our innovative approach, called RE-ENGINEERED, stands unique across Canada. This program aims to spark enthusiasm and creativity in budding engineers.
The RE-ENGINEERED curriculum replaces stressful final exams with increased assignments and quizzes, allowing for grade improvement after early challenges. Scheduled daily tutorials ensure timely academic support. Rather than traditional exams, students engage in practical courses exploring various engineering fields.
Students select their engineering specialization (major or discipline) after completing first year, determining their focused area of study for advanced coursework in subsequent years.
