Geological engineers bridge the gap between natural systems and engineering solutions. They utilize engineering concepts to work with earth materials like rocks, soil formations, underground water, and hydrocarbon resources.
At USask, we've transformed first-year engineering into RE-ENGINEERED - a unique Canadian program designed for student success and engagement. This innovative approach makes learning engineering more enjoyable and motivating.
The RE-ENGINEERED program replaces stressful exams with frequent assignments and quizzes, allowing for grade improvement throughout the term. Scheduled daily tutorials provide ongoing support, while practical courses replace traditional finals with hands-on exploration of various engineering fields.
Students select their engineering specialization (major/discipline) after completing their first year, which then becomes the focus of their advanced studies.
