Computer science explores the principles, creation, implementation, and use of software across diverse domains like artificial intelligence, human-computer interaction, computational modeling, and graphics. The curriculum covers numerous subjects such as software system design and upkeep, distributed systems, human-computer interfaces, computational simulations, AI, mobile technologies, programming languages, digital imaging, and visual computing. You'll develop skills in blending creative solutions with technical analysis to build functional and inventive software solutions.
Note that the Software Engineering Option doesn't result in an accredited engineering degree recognized by professional engineering organizations, nor does it permit graduates to use the "P.Eng." title. Those considering a dual degree combining computer science with another discipline should seek guidance from both academic departments when planning their yearly course selections.
